About Dr. John Korolewski, DDS Our Office Our Fine Staff Services Provided CEREC Office Standards

The greatest service we can offer is personalized dental care.  As you will discover, the more we understand about your circumstances, expectations and goals, the better we can make appropriate recommendations about keeping your teeth all your life in maximum comfort, function, health and beauty.

Comprehensive Oral Health Evaluation – This is more thorough than the “check-up” you may have come to expect.  It begins with a discussion of your current concerns, previous dental experiences and expectations. Do you have fears or anxieties about dental care?  Do you want your immediate problems treated or a lifetime plan for dental health?  Are you ready to begin treatment now or wish to postpone? What are your budget and time constraints?  Understanding your values and needs is important in developing a relationship that leads to mutual respect and trust. During the clinical examination, we gather information about your teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints and smile while asking you what changes you have noticed in the health of your mouth.  Appropriate x-rays are made, and depending on the complexity of your needs, diagnostic casts of your bite and digital images of your teeth and smile.  At a later visit, Dr. Korolewski will review the findings with you and provide enough information about optimal dental care so that you can choose the best course of treatment.

Periodontal Health - Periodontal disease is an infection that destroys the gum and bone supporting the teeth. It is the most common cause of tooth loss in adults.  Signs of gum disease include red, puffy gums; bleeding gums; loose teeth and a bad taste in the mouth.  Pain is only sometimes present in very advanced stages. Periodontal disease must be treated prior to restoring  teeth back to health.   Once diagnosed and treated, prevention of periodontal disease includes good oral hygiene practices at home and regular preventive dental visits.

Bite/TMJ Health – A harmonious relationship between how well the upper and lower teeth fit when the lower jaw closes is needed for long term dental health.  A lack of harmony can produce jaw joint problems (pain in jaw or face, clicking, popping, headaches) or bite problems (loose teeth, sensitive teeth, cracked teeth, uneven bite).  Grinding or clenching habits can cause excessive wear of teeth and make bite or TMJ problems worse.  Treatment may include bite splints to reprogram sore jaw muscles and bite reengineering to help the teeth fit together better.  Sore jaw joints and unhealthy bite relationships must be addressed prior to restoring the teeth back to long-term health.

Restorative Care – Teeth may need restorative care when weakened by large silver fillings, decay, wear, fractures, toothbrush erosion or chemical erosion (excessive soda or gastroesophageal reflux disease). We now have  DIAGNOdent , a laser cavity detecting device able to detect the smallest areas of decay so the maximum amount of tooth may be preserved.  CEREC is computer generated CAD-CAM designed porcelain restorations for teeth exhibiting breakdown – done in a single visit!  Dental implants are the most predictable and natural option to replace missing teeth, and can be used to support bridges, dentures or single teeth.

Cosmetic Care - Thanks to modern advancements in cosmetic dentistry, more options than ever before are available to create a natural, beautiful smile. Teeth whitening, life-like porcelain veneers, and natural colored restorations are just a few of the affordable options available.
