Are you accepting new patients?
We are always happy to accept new patients into our practice. Whether you are new to the Sheboygan area or simply looking for a new dentist, we welcome you.
What about children?
More than 50% of teenage patients have no cavities, thanks to many years of brushing, flossing and regular dental visits. We enjoy treating children and suggest a first visit between two and four years of age, unless a problem is evident.
What kind of toothbrush should I use?
You should always use a soft-bristled brush. As far as brand of toothbrush - it is a personal preference. For some of our patients we recommend automated toothbrushes such as the Sonicare® or Braun® . You should always remember to replace your toothbrush or brush head every six months. Also, replace your toothbrush if you have been ill or someone in your household has been ill and your brush has been in close proximity with theirs. The kind of floss you use is also a matter of personal preference. Waxed, unwaxed, flavored or non-flavored, whatever you like.
Do you have payment plans?
We ask for payment at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, Master Card and VISA. Please visit our "Financial Information" page for additional options.
What are your office hours?
We are available by appointment Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM til 5:00 PM. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, our hygienist is available as early as 7:30 AM..
Can you make my teeth whiter?
There are many options for a better smile. Dr. Korolewski would be happy to listen to your concerns, look at your teeth and discuss the options with you.
I'm anxious about going to the dentist — will it hurt?
Dr. Korolewski and his staff believe in providing gentle, compassionate care. Just ask some of our existing patients. Dentistry in our age does not have to be unpleasant or uncomfortable.
Do you take my insurance?
While it is impossible to list all the insurance plans our office will submit on your behalf, Kim (our receptionist) will gladly verify your insurance coverage. In order to provide you with your maximum dental benefits, we request you provide us with a copy of your dental insurance card at your first appointment.
Why didn't my insurance company cover everything?
If you receive communication from a third-party payer suggesting the fees are over and above the usual and customary rate for the services provided, please be aware that third-party payer's fee data or the maximum benefit for which your employer has contracted may be out-of-date. They may not take into account factors pertaining to our locale. If you believe the dental benefits provided by your plan are inadequate, you may want to discuss the matter with your employer, union, or association so appropriate alternatives can be investigated.
I have two insurance plans — why do I still have a balance?
Often both insurance companies have deductibles. Coordination of benefit provisions must be taken into consideration. Please remember that secondary insurance claims can only be submitted after the primary insurance plan has paid its portion.
Why do I have a balance if I paid my co-pay at the time of service?
While we do our best to predetermine your benefits, there are times when the insurance company will pay more or less than we anticipated. In such instances, you may receive a bill for the balance or a refund check for monies you may have overpaid.
